Sra. Vera Vega

Sra. Vera Vega is a native Spanish speaker from Bogotá, Colombia. She arrived to the United States in 2007 and shortly after this she began her superior university studies. She went to Diablo Valley College in order to meet her general education requirements. Later, she attended Saint Mary’s College of California in Moraga where she graduated with a B.S. in General Psychology. After owning her Spanish Tutoring business, she decided to continue her studies in order to become a Spanish Teacher. She went to Sonoma State University and got her Single Subject Teaching Credential in Spanish. She is very lucky and very grateful to be teaching for her first year at Piner! She enjoys swimming, painting, and listening to music. 

The language program at PHS

Piner High School offers Spanish and French language classes. Both pathways include Advanced Placement classes and students have the chance to earn The Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish.
